Bottom line up front: Headchange is the best vendor I’ve dealt with on Amazon. I don’t think I’ll ever buy a hat from anyone else. They deserve to become the only haberdasher or hatter on the planet. Customer service? Five stars.Here’s the story. The hat was exactly as advertised and arrived right on time. Problem: my noggin was too big. I emailed Headchange as instructed and received a larger one in a couple of days. That too was too small. I emailed again and received an almost immediate reply. The problem now was that the particular hat didn’t come in the XXL size so we decided to switch to another one which turned out to be much nicer. I used PayPal to send the extra $13.00 and received two copies of the new hat, XL and XXL. I needed the XXL! Now, I had four of their hats for the price of one. I sent back the three that did not fit, all postage paid by Headchange. Does it get any better than this?Coda: The hat is a godsend with these recent cold blasts. My ears are so happy!I'm glad I read the reviews before I bought this hat. Had I ordered the extra-large, there wouldn't have been room in the hat to tuck the flaps when I wanted to. Ordering the XXL makes for a bigger hat, but I can wear it with the flaps in or out.Several years later and I still love this hat. When I thought I had lost it I was lost and immediately ordered a replacement. Thankfully I found the original, as they were out of stock everywhere.I have had several people over the years ask me where I purchased this hat. People I don't know stop me on the street or in a restaurant and ask where they can buy one like it.One of the reviews I read prior to buying the hat mentioned that they ran a little small. But that would be my only negative thing to say and the positives far out way the size issue. Plus I have noticed that the wool has started to give a bit and now the fit is actually almost perfect. Keep my head nice and warm and my ears praise it.While I prefer the more understated, perhaps more compact style of the Kangol 504 earflap cap, this was a good buy. It fit well, adequately covers the ears and is comfortable. An especially good buy at about 1/3 of the price of the Kangol.Product replaces a worn out one of different brand. Cap works well and seems to be intact. But I was shipped the wrong color. Ordered gray but received black. Wasn't sure whose mistake it was until I was invited to review the product. I don't find this to be a major problem and is not worth sending it back.I purchased this for my dad as a gift. he is an avid lover of these styles of hats and has them of all colors, fabrics and weights. however, in the winter he has always donned a furry thing that just doesn't fit his style and leaves his ears exposed. when I saw this it was perfect. the description said to order one size up which I did and it seems to fit well and he loves it as he has worn it every day since he received it. in light of the -60 degrees we have had recently it was perfect for his noggin!The hat arrived in two days, but one of the two snaps on the brim was broken. I contacted the seller. They told me that I need not send the hat back. They would send a replacement immediately. They delivered on their promise! Headchange International is an excellent seller.The item is a wool & polyester blend that is more polyester than wool. The color gray is not too dark, not too light; just right! We're California natives so we know not of cold. This hat with its ear flaps was totally warm for a winter visit to Washington D.C. Further, it repelled rain well. Great product!Works well for me. I get a somewhat stylish hat that can keep the sun out of my eyes, plus when it's cold out I can fold down the ears and stay warm. The hat is wind proof, so it works much better than a knit cap.Very nice hat. It was a gift and it did fit a little small at first. However, it fits well now.
