These are very high-quality hats, comparable to hats by big names at more than twice the price. The material is a very fine wool with a luxurious look and feel. The brim has a plastic stiffener, not cardboard, so will be durable even when soaked or washed. The stitching and other aspects of manufacturing are perfect, and I'm really picky about that.This is a very warm hat, as this style goes. The quilted lining provides ample insulation, and the wool is tightly woven to keep wind out. The ear flaps really cover my ears, including the lobes, and are made so they hug my head. The lining of the ear flaps appears to be synthetic micro-fleece, which is much more comfortable on the ears than even the finest wool. With the ear flaps down, the back of my head is also covered, making it a great choice for blustery days.I should add that this is a very stylish hat, as well. It says, "Top-shelf" in a quiet, understated way. It's good to keep warm, but better to do it in style!Fit was as expected according to the size chart. Many hats in size Large are a bit tight on my head, but this is perfect! My head is 22.5-inch in circumference.There was a minor problem with my original order, the wrong style was shipped. The seller immediately corrected the problem, and exceeded my expectations in their handling of the situation. Hey, it happens to the best of us. What matters is what we do about it. This little incident increased my confidence in this seller, and I will recommend them and buy from them again. I also sent my father a link, and he absolutely loves his new hat!
