Had a massage and the masseur used this on me. It has a really nice warming effect that lasts for a moderate amount of time, and was pleasant on my aching muscles. The smell fades fairly fast in comparison to others. I had to find this and get some for home use. I've used it straight and diluted a bit with coconut oil, both worked fine and I didn't have any reaction or unpleasantness using neat on my sensitive skin.Having said all of that, if you are purchasing to use as a muscle rub, I recommend doTERRA's deep blue rub over the oil. It's already in a thicker lotion formula which is far more convenient for using as a rub, and it seems to last longer, IMO, than the oil even in it's neat form. I've not yet tried doTERRA's suggestion from the label on their rub to use the oil first and then apply the rub, but will give that a go and see if it's even more intense.Constant pain drags you down. Instead of using chemical drugs that mess with your brain and have side effects, I use this oil to relieve neuralgia for hours! I dilute it slightly with FCO, almond oil or layer it on top of another oil that isn't strong. I've already used one bottle and will order more when I start on the second bottle. The smell is strong, but not unpleasant.Our equine bodyworker turned us on to these products for horses, now both horses and humans are happier and better for it -great product!!!!!!!!!!!!I put a couple drops of this with my deep blue cream and wow..it eases the discomfort shortly afterwardsI never received this product, but was too sick and emotionally drained to contact Amazon about it. Now I'm sure its to late to do anything about it. (A WASTE OF $$) However I do hear it is a great product!!!I have rheumatoid arthritis and Deep Blue is very helpful.My wife swears by this stuff for her foot and knee pain. She has plantar fasciitis and chondromalacia patella. She puts it on every night before bed and says it works wonders.Not as strong of a formula, as a purchase I made with another company. It should be the same but it is not.
