This Epoch newsboy cap is the best newsboy cap, in my opinion.I've been a lifetime cap, so I know my caps and how fit is a large part to the look. Only recently have I started getting into the older, more formal Ivy/newsboy caps, and the first I purchased was s Kangol, 504, which is nice. It has more of the lighter feel like a fisherman's hat and doesn't really hold its shape sitting on a surface. However, it maintains it shape on the head fairly nicely, despite the stretch fit, but the Kangol isn't too deep. It's style is also distinct with style choice of the front upper top being sewed onto brim entirely around, so the top sharply ends with the brim, which contributes to the cap being less deep. The Epoch is just right. Feels send fits just like a standard old school baseball cap. Has the traditional style to this design with an actual button to snap the top to brim, the giving room to.envelop the head like a 'cap.' Feels like s standard evolution cap with nice thick wool and a liner that is quilted. All stitched nicely together along with a good, rigid brim. Plus, it's fitted and measures accuratelyAlso, got a Rooster Newsboy wool as the sewn brim really didn't suit my style, angled more to the lax, golfer look. The Rooster is sewn at the brim but has a deep crown to its design that is meant to sitvlowIt's the difference between a nicely tailored suit and a regular store sit low. Its looks and feels like a baseball cap with the top sewn to the brim, which is both what makes this cap appealing and not so, which is why I west this one for casual, baseball cap days.
