This coffee is 100% arabica beans. I understand it is the most popular coffee brand of the Cuban-American community of Miami. The coffee beans are very dark and a bit oily. I has no issue running through my burr grinder for espresso ground. It also works fine in my espresso machine. Despite the dark beans, the ground coffee isn’t nearly as black. The taste is wonderfully rich. It has no hint of bitterness and it is extremely low in acidity. It isn’t a highly aromatic style of coffee in the cup but there is roundness and smoothness making it very attractive. At this price, it competes very well with some of the best coffees in the works. Highly recommend if you like dark roast coffee.
